Autoclaved Aerated Concrete(AAC) Advantages

AAC replaces the wood framing, wood sheathing, insulation, synthetic house wrap, and the siding of the typical stick-frame home. AAC is fire resistant, rot-proof, termite-resistant, mold-resistant, has impressive energy efficiency and dramatic sound insulation qualities.

AAC is fire resistant. The fire resistant attribute of an AAC home combined with magboard and metal roofing provides security and safety, which translates to a less expensive insurance policy.

AAC resists termites and other pests.  AAC is an inorganic material, which makes it inhospitable to problem pests. Pests won't eat it or occupy it.

AAC is mold and mildew resistant.  Since AAC is inorganic it does not provide an environment for molds or mildew.

AAC saves money on energy. AAC has good energy efficiency as determined by its R-value and thermal mass. In fact, an 8-inch-thick AAC wall is more energy efficient than a stick-frame stud wall with R-19 insulation.

AAC has impressive soundproof qualities.  The porous structure of AAC blocks provide good sound absorption for both the inside and outside of the home.

AAC is environmentally friendly and long lasting.  AAC blocks are non-toxic and the production process doesn’t produce any by-products or toxic waste. They have a high strength to weight ratio. The exterior is finished in stucco, providing a vapor barrier and will never need painting. An AAC home will last for generations with little to no maintenance.
